The server timeline on the community-maintained Whiteout Survival Wiki lists Seigel, Ursar and Aisling as Generation 16. This is a generation-identification reference, not a tested tier list or a recommendation to spend shards.
Corrected generation reference
The earlier version of this article incorrectly grouped several older heroes under Gen 16. The community-maintained wiki timeline, checked on 27 August 2026, lists:
| Hero or group | Generation |
|---|---|
| Seigel, Ursar and Aisling | 16 |
| Estrella | 15 |
| Elif and Dominic | 14 |
| Vulcanus | 13 |
| Karol | 12 |
| Eleonora | 11 |
The timeline describes approximate server-age milestones. It is not a promise that Gen 16 is available in every state, or an exact countdown for your state. Confirm the heroes and recruitment opportunities actually shown in your game.
Before choosing a hero
Write down the decision you are trying to make: filling a rally-lead lineup, following your alliance's joiner instructions, defending, or improving another mode. Then compare the actual skill descriptions, skill levels, stars and acquisition options available to you.
Keep these questions separate:
- Availability: can your state obtain the hero now?
- Completion: what can your existing inventory actually unlock or improve?
- Role: which effect is relevant to the activity you intend to play?
- Evidence: is a recommendation backed by current skill screens and comparable reports, or only an uncited ranking?
A newer generation alone does not establish the best choice for your account. This guide does not assign mandatory picks or rank finished older heroes against incomplete newer ones.
Event timing
Use the SvS preparation checklist to check eligible actions. Do not assume hero shards score on Day 4, or that converting a general shard and using a hero-specific shard are the same scoring action. Confirm the current mission before consuming an item.
What still needs review
Skill-by-skill comparisons, leader/joiner recommendations and shard breakpoints need current in-game evidence and an experienced reviewer. The previous fixed launch-day spending calendar has been removed. No successor-generation release date or universal investment schedule is established here.
