Use this guide to organize a Bear Hunt session and compare your own results. HQ does not yet have reviewed evidence for a universal best troop ratio, hero lineup or percentage damage gain.

Before the hunt

Confirm the event window in game and your alliance's participation plan. Ask who will lead, which rallies to join and what troop or hero instructions the organizers want members to follow.

Prepare a short checklist:

  • Are you available for the agreed start time?
  • Which marches and troops will be available?
  • What rally capacity does the game show?
  • Which hero skills, equipment and active effects are in your planned setup?
  • Where will the alliance share instructions and battle reports?

A schedule shown elsewhere is a reference unless its occurrence has been confirmed for your alliance.

Record a setup before changing it

Note the rally leader, participating troops, tiers, hero lineup, skill levels and visible buffs alongside the resulting report. Without that context, two damage totals are not a reliable comparison of one hero or one troop ratio.

If you want to compare setups, change one factor at a time where practical and retain the reports. Differences in participants or other effects should be recorded, not attributed automatically to the change you intended to test.

What the Bear Trap calculator does

The Bear Trap calculator divides an entered capacity among troop types using chosen ratios. It is an allocation helper, not a damage simulator. Its presets are examples; they do not establish that a particular marksman percentage is optimal.

Use the capacity and ratio requested for your actual rally. A successful arithmetic result cannot validate hero skills, a buff's applicability or a predicted damage improvement.

Leader and joiner instructions

Keep these instructions separate when sharing an alliance plan. Copy the relevant in-game skill descriptions and have an experienced organizer check which effects apply to the activity and formation.

This article no longer recommends Elif as a Gen 16 rally lead or treats an older hero as a universal joiner choice. See the generation reference for corrected generation identification, not an investment ranking.

What still needs review

Rally skill selection, troop-ratio recommendations, capacity sources, buff applicability and event-specific attack rules require current game screens and comparable battle reports. The earlier solo-attack advice, ministry claims and guaranteed gains have been removed. This checklist offers organization, not a promise of more damage.
